I'm in shock at the moment...for the last 3 months, my DD will only sleep with me (on my boob) and will wake anywhere between 2 and 8 times in the night. Tonight started off no different- messing about, on and off boob. Usually I just persist until she gets tired and falls asleep on boob. Tonight though, I just thought I'd let her play/mess about until she showed signs of tiredness again. She played for a bit and then.......it looked like she was trying to put herself to sleep! I just watched her and 10-15 mins later...SHE IS ASLEEP. I have no idea how long she will last or if this putting herself to sleep without boob will last. But wow. I am just shocked.
Has anyone else experienced this??? I was a bit freaked out at first, wasn't sure if this is normal? But I'm throwing a silent party because surely this means she DOES know how to put herself to sleep?
