Sleep help needed!

Since 6 months old, we are now 7. My little one has come from every two hours to every 30 mins waking up. He’s breastfed and has reflux so has always been held after every feed especially nighttime’s for 30 mins after and has since birth always fallen asleep on the breast.

Now up every half hour all he wants is cuddles to sleep, as soon as you put him down he cries. Sleep trainer said let him cry for three minutes then attend but before he’s even got to three minutes he’s screaming so badly to the point he’s vomiting. Times it, it all happened within 2 minutes, same thing happens if you try to put him down semi awake. I’ve stayed in the room with him trying everything to soothe him but literally picking him up for cuddles is the only thing.

I literally am awake 10pm to 5am, after 5am he’ll sleep for 45 mins. I’m falling asleep with him on my chest while sitting up, it’s hurting my neck and back and of course not safe. He doesn’t even sleep more than 25 mins twice during the day so can’t even catch up on sleep then.

Anyone got any suggestions??

A dummy would help, if he wants to suck

He has one and doesn’t use it at night.

He’ll take it out or spit it out after a bit during the night
