My 2 year old is cutting his last molars at the moment and he's a bit of a hot mess. He's been waking really early (4:30) for 2-3 days. Usually I don't let him nap longer than an hour in the day because it affects his night sleep but today he's been going almost 2 hours and I'm hesitant to wake him because of all his early mornings lately I feel he needs a catch-up.
Is that the best thing to do? He's so cranky bless him.

Yes, on nights when he doesn't sleep well he will need a longer lunchtime nap.

I would be inclinded to try and get that extra sleep by starting the nap an hour or so earlier than normal, rather than starting the nap at the normal time and sleeping later. But that's just an ideal to aim for. Sleeping later in the afternoon might mean a later bedtime, but that's not the end of the world.
