Any advice. So little miss is side sleeping. Not through choice. I always put on her back.... But she rolls onto her side by herself.... Actually sleeps better.. Lullaby trust and other places always say back reduces sids what am I meant to do? She is 4 days old.... Am I meant to stay awake and turn her each time? Advice needed please...

Mine did the same, he coslept and always ended up facing me. I think side sleeping is still better than front sleeping.

Have you tried swaddling? Can she still roll when swaddled?

Mine did this a bit, I did try to tip her back but sometimes I was too tired. I read (but don't quote me on this) that the risk with side sleeping is that they tip on their front which is a sids risk. Therefore I tried to at least push her top arm and leg back a bit so that if she was going to tip, it was more likely she would tip backwards than forwards.

With sleep and safety sometimes you have to weigh up the bigger risk. If constantly putting her back on her back means you not getting any sleep and then you'll fall asleep holding her on the sofa, then is it safer for her to sometimes sleep on her side?
