Sleep Regression?!

Looking for any advice....

DD (11 months) has always been a terrible sleeper since birth!! Around 9 months she started sleeping through the night (thanks god!) and was going 7-7 every night!

Then 5 weeks ago she started getting up more and more, at first it was once and we could rock her back to sleep quite easy but for the last 20 days, she's up at least 3 times a night, and she wakes up screaming and is really hard to calm down. At least 1 out of the 3 times she's awake for 2 - 4 hours!! We try to rock her back to sleep (which normally works) but she is wide awake! After trying for an least an hour to get her back to sleep, we leave the room to let her settle herself down bur again she just ends up screaming and we go back in to comfort her. If we leave the white noise machine on she will happily sit in the cot by herself without crying but she's wide awake and is just playing! And then eventually will tire herself out and start moaning again when one of us goes back in to settle her back to sleep!

She's started to fight her nap times (normally 2 a day but she sometimes has 1 long nap instead) and she's getting harder to settle for bed!

I think she might be teething along with having a little bit of an upset tummy but I'm just hoping for a little advice if anyone has experienced the same thing and how they coped?
