How many hours sleep do you get?

How much sleep do you get per night? And how much is 'ok' to function on for you?
I used to have 9/10 hours sleep before kids but now have 7/8 and I cope just fine, I'm amazed how you adapt as sleep used to be my whole life 😂

Usually somewhere between 4-7 hours, but usually in chunks of 2-3 hours. 5-6 hours is tiring but considered great for me these days if it's in one lump. 6+ in one lump and I'm a new woman. Possibly because it happens so rarely 😂

Work nights so all over the place.

IdblowJonSnow · 14/02/2021 01:59

6 or 7. I am knackered and need more but just really struggle with sleep. Needing to wee in the night doesn't help.

ChorleyFMcominginyourears · 14/02/2021 02:00

I need around 10 but get between 6 and 8

lovelilies · 14/02/2021 02:13

I think I average about 10 a night Grin

ZaraCarmichaelshighheels · 14/02/2021 02:15

Work nights between 4 and 5 hours, if no work the next day about 8 hours.

Kate3150 · 14/02/2021 21:12

I go to bed around 9-9.30, still up at least once with 14 month old. I wake up when he does, recently it’s been around 7.15am x

Keha · 14/02/2021 21:32

I probably spend 7-8 hours in bed, woken a bit through the night as cosleeping with DD but I go back to sleep very quickly and generally feel reasonably well rested.

Snowwaiting · 14/02/2021 21:34

I spend about 8.5 hours in bed and probably manage to sleep 6.5-7 hours if I’m lucky

Newnamefor2021 · 14/02/2021 21:37

On average? 3. I have two children with additional needs, they don't sleep much. Constantly exhausted. Used to be more like 5 which was manageable but 3 is a killer. I do get lay ins though where I can catch up if my husband is around on weekends etc. I didn't get up until 11 today! It's pretty embarrassing sleeping in that long but I need it!

crystalcherry87 · 14/02/2021 21:42

About 7 or 8 but as long as I get 4 hours I'm OK.

cravingthelook · 14/02/2021 21:45

6 ... I want to sleep more but mostly my body wakes after 6. I can go back to sleep on child free weekends but feel groggy. Sometime I take a sleeping pill to sleep longer but also wake groggy.

pitterpatterrain · 14/02/2021 21:46

Not enough

I realised over the holidays that I feel amazing and rested with 7+ but when working etc likely drop to 5.5-6 which isn’t enough

Chicchicchicchiclana · 14/02/2021 21:49

6 to 8 hours. But never all in one stretch.

yeOldeTrout · 14/02/2021 21:50

From Fitbit, Last 2 weeks ... 8, 7, 9, 5, 8, 6, 6.5, 8, 5, 8, 5.5, 4.5, 7, 8..
I think that averages at almost 7.

I'm often awake for 1-3 hours in middle of night, too

6.8/night is more than I expected. I feel like I should have 9-10/night. I can manage a couple of nights in a row on just 3-4.

Doublechins · 14/02/2021 22:00

Never more than 6 on a work night. Sleep between 8-10 when I get the chance (v rare I do) so i think I do need more than I get.
