6 week old sleep suddenly changed

My little boy is 6 weeks old and since newborn has been waking twice in the night for a feed (formula fed) and then sleeping through til 7-8am.

The past week though he's been getting really restless at about 6am and wriggles around and groans until we pick him up and cuddle him. He doesn't actually properly cry or open his eyes though so not sure whether to pick him up, or leave him in his cot (next to me)

Has anyone else had similar? Is this normal?

Perhaps he is having a little growth spurt, perhaps he is a bit cold, if he is just having a wriggle around i would leave him and see if he settles again . But a 6 am waking up time is pretty standard I would say. It is still early days and you are getting to know him. It doesn't sound like anything to worry about. Congrats on your baby

We have this issue too, I have read its to do with wind having built up and causing them discomfort, apparently it peaks at 6 weeks and tails off by 12 weeks x
