Safe sleep

Hi,
Just after some advice. FTM.
My baby is now 19months old, still in her cotbed and a belly sleeper.
Question is, when is it safe to give her a pillow?. I've read 18months but doesn't say anything about a belly sleeper.
I don't want to risk anything. I just sometimes feel sad she goes to bed. With nothing in it.
Thanks

Also following with interest. Have a 15m old belly sleeper. Xx

If she's sleeping fine without one then she doesn't really need it. I know it looks bare but she is used to it and doesn't mind 😊
Does she have a cuddly toy or comfort blanket to cuddle? I gave both my boys pillows when they moved from the cotbed into a proper bed, about age 2 I think. But even now the 8 year old doesn't really use it properly - he usually sleeps under it or with it down his side or something 😂

If she's comfy without one I wouldn't worry just yet. My DD has had one since she was around 12 months. She could roll away, lift her head etc so it didn't worry me at all. We sometimes found it chucked to the end of the bed!

If she's sleeping well don't worry about it. ..DS was a front sleeper from the moment he could roll. We gave him a pillow in the toddler and he didnt use it at first, now he sleeps right at the top of the pillow so a good part of his chest is on it too so still not using it like a pillow really and he's now 4.

She sleeps all night I think ibjust have the urge to give her more comfort but I want to wait for the right moment.
@TooMinty. No she has her sleep bag on and that is it in her crib.
I saw a video on a friend's Facebook with a child surrounded by cuddly toys and a blanket and I think that's what's started this off. I'm feeling guilty.
I have ordered a fleece blanket. Thick one to tuck under her mattress and give more comfort.

No need to feel guilty, if she seems happy and is sleeping ok then you are doing everything right. My kids insist on taking loads of cuddly toys to bed but they didn't start doing this til they were about 2 and able to voice an opinion. When she wants things to cuddle she will tell you 😊. I gave mine comfort blankets from early on but it was because they were terrible sleepers and I wanted to stop feeding to sleep.
