Looking for day sleeping advice.
Day sleeps are restrictive as I have to hold him. He doesn't really like a sling or carrier either. Means I have to just sit and often use that time for home ed (not lockdown we home ed due to his autism and school failure to meet his needs) with my 10 year old as he can't focus if ds2 is making any noise.
I have tried putting him down in a moses basket, mamaroo, swing, bouncy chair and sleepy head but he wakes up within minutes as senses I am not there I think. He will then be cranky if can't get a sleep.
Weirdly he is fine in his bedside crib for the bulk of the night which I am thankful for.
The HV said to put him in his crib for day sleeps with the same conditions as night time (swaddle up, lights off and quiet) but I thought we were meant to keep them with us in the same room for 6 months? And tbh I think I would have the same issue and just be running upstairs every 5 mins. He is fine at night in a really deep long sleep, but after a feed about 5/6am he struggles to sleep not beside me.
Also worried he will get confused with the night and mess up his night sleeping which is pretty good really.
His main day sleep happens in his pram but it has to be outside and has to be moving or he wakes.
Any thoughts or ideas? He is 11 weeks old now.
