When to stop nap completely

My DD turned 2 in November and has always loved her nap. Recently I put her up for nap now and she cries ☹️ yesterday I went In a few times and said 'come on it's nap time have a lay down and a rest' and she just got worse? She then just sat down and chatted for an hour. I was watching hopelessly they she might fall.

Today is the same story! She goes to bed fine at night and sleeps till 7 but she's more emotional in the evenings when she hasn't napped.

What's happened? She used to literally say 'mummy I'm tired I want a nap'

Now, she's hating them? Staying away chatting shit to herself 🤣 . I feel she's far too young to cope everyday without napping.

Do I just continue as is, and stick her up there daily as almost like a nap offering? Quiet time etc?

My toddler dropped her daytime nap around her second birthday, and now only sleeps on long car journeys. It made bedtime a lot easier! Now if only I could get her to stop waking in the night...
