When to transition from next2me to cot?

My dd is 10 weeks and she's quite long for her age. I'm worried she's going to touch the end of her next2me soon but i know you're not meant to have them in another room until theyre 6 months. We don't have the space to have her cot in our room.

My question is, if she's not 6 months or 9kg but she touches the ends of her next2me, do i need to get her something bigger to sleep in in our room or will she just curl up if/when she outgrows the next2me? She may not grow to touch the ends before 6 months but I'm thinking ahead.

Hi, my son is 5.5 months and is still in his next to me but I'd say he outgrew it a month ago. We are staying somewhere temporarily whilst house is being renovated so we didn't have the cot with us but have had to borrow one (making the transition this weekend!) as he is almost touching the ends, his hands also touch the sides so he wakes himself up when he shifts about in his sleep.
My LO hasn't started rolling (just doesn't seem interested) but you also may have issues with that.

In terms of a different room, my husband sleeps in a separate bedroom so he doesn't get disturbed during the week and I've also shifted myself in there recently as the baby wakes me up with all the little shuffles. I can hear him across the hall but also use a monitor. If he is waking frequently then I jump back into the bed in his room.

My daughter is also very long and she was in her bedside crib until she was 5 months, we went away for almost a month at that point and went into her cot when we came home. The one we had is shorter than a next2me as well.

My son was 90th centile for height (which is bigger than a girl’s 90th centile) and he was absolutely fine in his next2me until he was 6 months. Growth slows down in the 3-6 month period and they’re fine to curl up a little.

I don’t think they will outgrow in length. They are actually very long. My 9 month old could still fit in length wise, but had to move out at 4.5 months as he started pulling over the side and crawling.
