7 week old sleep pattern confusing

Hello. Quick question. My 7 week old daughter, happened to spontaneously sleep through the night (after her dream feed) during the Christmas break for 4 nights in a row! I was amazed as she used to wake up at around 3AM each night up until then. Once home, after her dream feed, she woke up three hours later and was awake all night on and off. I wasn't sure if hungry as she didn't cry and seemed ok just guzzling and making usual baby noises, so finally fed her just before 7am. Last night, she woke up around 3 again, so left her as I read this could just be a habit but due to my breast being engorged as she didn't want it during her dream feed, I fed her at 5 am eventually, then had to wake her at 7AM as usual. What confuses me is whether I was supposed to feed her if she is awake in middle of night or just let her 'sleep'? Also, is it normal she is no longer sleeping through? I was hoping she'd dropped the 3AM feed altogether.

7 weeks is way way too early to have a sleep schedule I'm afraid. It will chop and change for quite a while Smile if she's being fussy when she wakes then see if she wants a feed, if not then just let her chill.
I never tried to control my daughters sleep, just let her do what she wanted from birth, she's now 18months and has a great routine.
Goodluck op!

It's a good habit to always try and resettle without feeding in the night. Even at 7 weeks old. Many times baby will ultimately need the feed but by trying to resettle baby will begin to learn to sleep without a feed in the night.

Try a dummy for resetting - it allows for co.fort sucking in an independent way. I used to always try 10 minus or so dummy resettle before feeding. Sometimes it works and baby will go back to sleep without a feed.
