hi, I have a 12mo ds who when she is put into our bed if she wakes in hight and won't settle back in cot sleeps really well. I was wondering at what age she can start having a pillow and duvet and is there any make or shop you recommend to get them from.

hi,

im sure its 12 months for duvets and pillows, but I think you have to get a much lower tog for children. Mothercare do the proper ones.

I have a duvet for ds who's 18 months but its still a very low tog one. He still doesnt have a pillow though, i dont know when to give himone, or infact if i need to yet.

they are considered ok from 1 year. my ds actually had a pillow from a few weeks old - it was a goi goi pillow which helps prevent flattening of the head. Re: duvets, I would go for a 4/4.5tog if your lo is still in a cot. You can get either coverlets or proper quilts with seperate covers. Babiesrus, Argos and mothercare all sell them as will do lots of other places that sell nursery equipment.
