Up until a couple of months ago, my LO had been sleeping brilliantly at night, 11-12 hours straight. However the last couple of weeks, he has been a nightmare. Taking hours to fall asleep at bedtime & then up several times a night & taking ages to go back to sleep. Last night he didn’t fall asleep until 9.45, woke at 2, 3.30 & 5. By 5 I just let him sleep on our bed just so I could get a few hours before we all had to get up at 7 for work & childminder. I feel he probably only had about 7 hours sleep last night but strangely seemed fine this morning whilst I feel destroyed.
Basically, I have a few times recently had to bring him to our bed in the night as it seems to be the only way I can get him (& me!) some sleep. I really don’t want to fall into a bad habit here & I am pregnant with no2 due in March. I’m starting to panic that I’m creating a bad habit when he has always previously slept in his cot no problem.
Having read online, it sounds like this could be a sleep regression so I’m hoping it passes but I am exhausted so 😩
