Big bed transition.

So..
Tonight is the first night transitioning my two year old from cotbed with rails to toddler bed in her new room. I need to crack it before the next one arrives end of January so I'm not having to battle with two of them 🤞🏼
Any tips... she's not having any of it? My husband is sat next to her in her new bed where as I have said we need to try the 'back to bed' approach, so putting her back whenever she gets how, no matter how many times it takes 😩😂

Yes go with back to bed approach, I started sitting next to my toddler and then I had to wean him off falling asleep with me there.

It takes a while but I just camped outside the door and as soon as soon as I heard movement I’d say back to bed, it probably took 2 weeks to crack and he would eventually nod off about 8:45 it’s tough but you have to grit your teeth

It will take patience!
Your DS has a new-found freedom. She's going to explore it.
You might want to consider a stair gate across the bedroom door so she can't wander too far.

We've not long done my daughter, her siblings were no problem 1se night of the constant putting back to bed several times them boom done absolutely no issue from that first night onwards. The 3rd and final child a completely different story 😫 so after 2 weeks I put a stair gate across her bedroom door and she's been fine, I personally have never liked the thought of a gate across the door but for her it worked x
