ds is 21 months and for the past three days he is not sleeping very well.
i used to put him to bed with a bottle of milk and although he used to maybe wake once or twice through the night i would give him a bottle and he would go back off.
now though im finding it difficult to get him into his bed in the first place.
last night he was up screaming till about 12.30 and he goes to bed at 7.30 so i took him into my bed which is when i noticed that when he was asleep he was jumpy and would wake himself up a few times i was wondering if this was due to having bad dreams and if he trys to keep himself awake to avoid them.
but i am only guessing as i have no clue as to why he used to love going to bed till 3 nights ago.

Teething? I & my kids get nightmares if we're too hot in bed, too.

yes he is teething but he has never been like this when teething before he has always loved his cot and loved going but he wont even let me put him to bed now without screaming the place down.
i dont think the place is to hot but i do not know the ideal temp for ds

Molars are supposed to be the worst to teethe, though, and they come in around now. Does he sleep better if you give him Calpol? Could just try getting the room cooler, or cuddling him more before he falls asleep (I mean, if it works, just do it & don't worry why it works in the short run).

tylersmum .. read up on night- terrors/mares..

quite common developmental thing (and a pain in the proverbial... as just when you all start getting some decent nights sleep, it is whisked away from you again!!)

ds (2.9) is waking up around 1am ( if that's any consolation) and guess who is up with him.... yup yours truly..

Hopefully another 'phase' they grow out of !ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!
