DS (18 months) is currently waking at 5.30am. I see from many posts that this is normal (sigh). However in just over a week the clocks go back... so he will be waking at 4.30?! Any tips to prevent this gratefully received.

It was my lowest moment when DH was in Afghanistan last year. DS normally got up at 6am. The clocks going back made it 5am. AND because we're in Germany, we're technically an hour ahead, so when we all struggled downstairs, the clock on the BBC News 24 channel said 4am.
Twas a very long day....

No tips I'm afraid, but my DS2 aged 2 has been waking 5-5.30 for over a year, and somehow last year when the clocks went back he just seemed to adjust with it! When the clocks went forward in spring we prayed that he would start waking at 6.30, but again, he adjusted with the clock. He seems to be programmed for 5am.

You have my sympathy and I hope it's just a phase for you.

I am also worried - ds gets up at 6, so this will be 5am soon, and i have to get up and go to work too
So... I am currently working on delaying his bedtime to 'encourage' him to sleep later. so far he is waking at 6.30, so if i can keep it up, it will soon be 7, then clocks go back and it is 6am.
Rubbish, but at least not 5am...
