Cot or crib or moses basket

We are looking into sleeping arrangements for our LO when he arrives.

From our first LO we have a snuzpod crib and a cot bed - we no stairs when she little so I could pull the snuzpod through when needed.

We were looking at a moses baskets but I don't feel they are long enough, cribs look better but then I through why don't we just put the snuzpod downstairs and put baby straight into the cot.

Quick Google search gives mixed responses but has anyone else done this? Is it safe?

(our cot has different sleeping levels and can fit in next to our bed.)

Moses baskets don't last very long. There are better alternatives

My LO is 3.5 months and I haven’t used the Moses for over a month, it got a lot of use when she first arrived tho! Have a Chicco next to me and she doesn’t look like she’ll be in that for much longer either. It did take a few weeks however for her to settle in the Next2Me as they are so big space wise compared to baby and what they are used to. Have heard this being a common issue as baby won’t settle in there initially, so you may have same issue with the Snuzpod?

Yes, that's what I understand which is why we got a snuzpod with LO1 and it lasted until she was about 4/5 months. Thought that was pretty good time wise which is why we hope to use it again for this baby - but use it downstairs, so are wondering if baby can go in the big cot upstairs at night..

Not at all. Our snuzpod lasted us about 5 months and our LO is on the 99th percentile for height and weight. We will use it again this time but just not sure if it'll be for day naps or night time...ie if it'll be upstairs or downstairs.

I'm only getting a bedside crib. The baby won't be sleeping in a cot until atleast 6 months x

We had the shnuggle dreami Moses basket which is much larger that a normal Moses basket and our baby last 7 months in it before moving in to his cot. We had a sleepyhead for on the couch downstairs for daytime naps. We'll be doing the same for baby no. 3 due soon 😍

Shnuggle now also do the Air which is a bedside crib that you convert to a cot, that could be an option too?

We have a cot, and a snuzpod... But wonder if can get away with putting baby straight into the cot for nighttime? That way the snuzpod can stay downstairs...

Or is it advisable to have baby in a crib/moses basket?
