Baby doesn’t sleep

I need some help. My 5 month olds sleep is just getting worse and worse. He is now waking every hour or 2 and won’t go back to sleep without me feeding him. Then from 3:30 he just won’t settle for more than 15 mins. He sleeps in my bed as he won’t sleep at all in his cot. During the day he will only nap in his pram while being pushed so I can’t catch up on sleep then. I am exhausted and haven’t spent any time with my 5 year old for weeks. I am trying to stop breastfeeding as he has CMPA and I ask fed up of not being able to eat what I want. He won’t drink the formula (not surprised as it smells disgusting). My husband is working and looking after our other child. I have no life and I wish I had never had a second child.

Your last line worries me, it might be worth saying similar to your GP and seeing what he says about PND.

Regarding sleep - the best sanity savers I can offer you is the bouncy chair and the dummy.

Dummies are recommended for babies with digestion issues so I assume you are already using one (?)

Bouncy chair doesn't need to be anything fancy, just a z-frame cheapy. Park yourself on the sofa with baby in bouncer at your feet (with dummy) and use your feet to bounce the chair. Keep going, BE RELENTLESS. Dummy reinsert, constant tempo bouncing.

Also - very frequent naps. Go for 60-90 minutes awake time between naps. This avoids over tiredness.
