Best side sleeper crib?

I'm currently considering a side sleeper 'next to me' style crib for our baby who is due next year. There are a few on the market and it's hard to tell from the web which ones might be the best. Mothercare is now gone, so I can't really go and see any either. Hopefully I can get some recommendations here I stead. Would be grateful if you could share your experiences and recommendations. Thanks in advance!

I recommend going straight yo a sidecar cot (full sized cot). Easily done with almost all cots. As long as it's a flat pack cot (most are) just remove one side off the cot and wedge if up to your bed.

Benefits:

• extra space means you can physically lie your torso in the cot to settle baby.
• lasts right through to toddlerhoid
• no need to transition from crib to cot
• no need to buy a crib at all.

If I had the space I would consider that, but I don't, so looking for something narrower. Thanks though!

I had a next2me & loved it. Haven’t tried any others so can’t comment on how it compares but I imagine they’re all quite similar. A great idea to get one, makes life so much easier!

I'd recommend getting one second-hand to start with - much cheaper and that way it doesn't matter too much if it doesn't end up working out for you. They're only in it for such a short time there are usually quite a lot out there for sale. I have a Snuzpod2 which has been fine, although have ended up co-sleeping as the baby hates it (which is coincidentally the same reason why it was being sold by the woman I bought it from 😂)

I don't actually have it, I have a Snuzpod2 (bought in 2016 when I was pregnant with DC1) but if I was buying again I'd get the Cozee.
The Snuzpod is great - it's definitely worth getting a bedside crib IMO - but it's not portable. The Cozee can easily be folded up and used as a travel cot, it would have been really useful to be able to take it with us for overnights with DC1.

If space is limited, consider the dimensions - the Next2Me is wide, the Snuzpod is narrow and the Cozee is in between. We don't have a huge amount of space and the Next2Me would have been too wide.

Jane Babyside it runs bigger than the more popular ones and is robust. DS1 was in it until 9 months and DS2 is currently in it at a very giant sized almost 6 month old. Weight limit is 9kg but having caught DS1 taking a nap in there with the cat! at his current 17kg it was not shifting remotely!

I'd highly recommend it!

I had a next to me and loved it, but I had space next to my bed for it.

They are all much of a muchness so go for one that fits the room

We have limited space by the bed so have gone for the Purflo Keep me Close. I also thought it looked a bit more attractive but I don't think that really matters! Our baby isn't born yet so can't actually comment on it though.

We have tutti bambini cozee and it's very nice!

I have a Next 2 Me Dream which isn't a true co sleeper which I like - means I don't worry about my covers etc. It wouldn't work for side lying feeding etc though and I think it's hard to know if you want that beforehand.
