Hi all,

Now with it going darker earlier, was wondering do you guys have the lights in the living room when LO is having a nap?

Do you have curtains open for day naps too?

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Up until about 4-6 months, I always do brightness for daytime naps then darkness for night time. It helps establish the natural day/night rhythm. Also, given I have 4 children so rarely have quiet tranquility for naptime, it gets baby used to sleeping while daily life goes on around them - which means you get a deep sleeper rather than a light sleeper who's woken easily.

I should have added, after 6 months when baby's naps move upstairs in the cot- at that point all sleeps (day and night) are in the dark with blackout blinds and white noise.
