Ditched the dummy and now waking more to roll around

So we went cold turkey on the dummy last week with our 5.5month old and after a rough first night and some grumbles the day after I think she’s more or less forgotten about it. Friday night we had a 7-6 sleep - I was like a new woman!

Problem is that LO has been successfully rolling over in the day and since we ditched the dummy, has been waking up as she has been rolling over in her sleep. She gets stuck on her front and needs help to flip back over. Last night gave me flashbacks of the 4th trimester - waking every 2-3 hours.

She naps 3 times a day and goes down for them fine, also only takes around 5-10 mins to go down to sleep at night as well so I don’t think she under or overtired. There’s no attempts to turn over in her naps just at night time when her mum and dad are trying to sleep 😂

Does this phase pass? Is this just a bit of excitement as learning/trying to learn a new trick? Is there anything I can do to try and get her to sleep a bit better through it all or do I need to ride it out?

Yes my now 8 month old was exactly the same. We used to get up around 20 times a night until he learnt to roll back. This went on for about 1.5 weeks. It was hell x

Thanks @Couldntthinkofausername24 I hope it only lasts a week and a half! She got herself really upset last night so came in the bed with us and slept from 10pm til 6am, no rolling or wake ups! Haha!

So after all that, last night LO slept 11 hours, 9 hours of them on her front! Hoping for another night like that tonight 🤞
