Hi, has anyone night weaned? Wondering how to go about it efficiently and successfully as I'm back at work in 2 weeks and already exhausted due to baby waking 2-3 times a night, and being fed 1-2 times (I ignore him at his 11pm wake up and he drops off in 5-10mins... maybe I should ignore him every time??). Thanks :(

I did it with DS when he was 8 months as he woke every 1.5 to 2 hours overnight to feed and I was losing my mind from sleep deprivation and due back at work.

What I did was pick three times he could feed based on his usual pattern (so you’re already ahead of me there!) and the rest of the time he woke, he had to be patted/shushed back to sleep. I made sure he was awake when I put him down after the feeds. After timing the feeds for a couple of nights, I started to cut them down one at a time, by a couple of minutes per night. Eventually he just slept through the time he was due the last remaining feed. It took about a month I think and we did have some ups and downs (I ended up doing an early morning feed for a while after this because he was getting up so early otherwise) but he’s slept pretty consistently through the night since then barring illness and brief developmental things.
