Sleep help 8 weeks

ust looking for some advice. We have an 8 week old who refuses to be put to bed in Moses basket in living room at night while we are downstairs. She just wakes up and cries. We usually take her to bed with us when we go up , where she'll then sleep in her next2me.
I know you're meant to sleep in same room until 6 months but do people ever put to bed upstairs with video monitor just for couple of hours before we actually go to bed ourselves? Or what do you do? If so, at what age did you do this?

My DS was like this, I used to sit and watch Tv on my iPad in the bedroom as i didn’t want to leave him with just a monitor. I figured it wouldn’t be forever. Once he reached 6 months he slept upstairs on his own.

We just used to go up and watch TV in bed or read at that age. My DD started having a proper bed time from about 4/5 months so she used to go up for a couple of hours by herself then but still slept overnight with us.

I go to bed (and to sleep! ) at the same time as DD but from about 8 weeks I'd come downstairs when I wake up in the morning and leave her with the monitor. She's also on her own for naps. I've left her once on her own at night when I had friends round but I felt really uncomfortable leaving her.

Thanks for this. I think we carry on trying to go up to bed a bit earlier than we would usually and watch tv in bed like you say. And maybe consider putting her up when she's a bit older. I'll enjoy the cuddles at night time for now 😊
