she still wakes anything up to 4/5 times a night for dummy/blankets etc.. - i am worried that if she is in bed she will keep getting out - know I have to bit the bullet soon - keep putting it off until we get her room redecorated - i know that is just an excuse - DS was in his own bed from he was about 18mos and I think he only ever got out of it once and he is not nearly 8 - he was always a good sleeper but DD has been more fussy - anyone have a fussy baby that progressed to bed easily - or should I prepare myself for house of tiny tearaways nights?

Maybe she's now waking because she's bashing herself on the cotsides?

You can get bed guards to stop her rolling out but she may still need a bit of "re-training" to get her used to staying there!

Why not go for it in half-term so at least you can have a lie-in/slob around a bit if you've had a bad night & she crashes out early morning?

Similar prob for us. Moved him 2 nights ago, got out 4 times first night, 2 the first afternoon nap and none since. Time to move. Ours is 2 and 3 months.

My DD is 22 months old and has been in a junior bed for 4 weeks now! TBH i was surprised how good DD is and she doesnt get off her bed at all till someone goes into her! She has started waking up about 10pm though but a quick cuddle sorts whatever is wrong and she goes back off!

thanks for that - painter is coming to give us quote today so when room is ready I will be moving her to bed - nightmare last night - she was wakened from about 10.30 on/off until 1 pm - wanting dummy, nose cleaned, blankets on her - they she started to say that she wanted to go down stairs and wanted to come into Mummys bed - i ended up doing the controlled crying with her again and eventually got to the 5 minute mark and she went off - then only woke at 5:30am for dummy again! what i am worried about is if she is in bed she will be getting out but i suppose i am up anyway settling her in her cot i may as well be up putting her back into bed. I had to do the control crying with her from she was a baby and she has never been a great sleeper she does go to bed and stay in bed - I never ever take her back out- unless she is sick but even then she still always goes back to bed it is just she wakes alot during the night and needs help to get settled again. i have tried leaving her but she ends up wakening DS who finds it hard to get back to sleep and he has school the next day and then me and hubby are going to work like zombies! sorry waffling here - I am going to move her when her room is done and she will have to get use to it. bring on the battle!
