any tips for getting wind up with this feed, or dealing with it before the baby is put down. my ds conks out and then 20/30mins later hes awake and its wind. then it can sometimes result in more feeding to get him settled again,

i could try the pu/pd method i suppose
hes 11wks

Do you wind him before you put him down?

It's tempting not to when they fall asleep at the end of a feed but if they are really tired, they still don't wake up while being winded and then at least you know he won't have tummy ache when you lie him down.

feed him lying down on your bed

leave him lying down for a couple of minutes after he's finished feeding and is asleep and breathing deeply

then when you pick him up to put him in his cot he should burp easily (maybe with a little back stroking)

.. worked for my 2 but suppose it depends on how easy they are to put down

ok thanks for that.
