A question for mums who breastfed their babies/toddlers to sleep

I breastfeed my daughter to sleep... other than the sling it is the ONLY way she will sleep. I co sleep with her and feed her to sleep and then shuffle away.
I don't want to change this really... It works for us and everyone is happy.
But she has just turned one and over the next year

LONG STORY SHORT
I'm going to try to get her in her own bed then room... I was wondering at what point you got to stop doing it? Did you toddler just fall asleep on their own one day?! Did you have another technique?
Any advice would be welcome!

Ps. Not looking for sleep training advice etc, like I said this works for us... just want to know what the future holds and gentle ways to stop...

I can't remember at what point we started doing this (I think around 11 months or so) but I would do storytime then a feed and then my husband would have cuddles and settle her to sleep. Took a short while for my daughter to get used to it after bf to sleep previously, but it did work. We had her cot set up at the end of our bed from 7 months so she was already used to having her first sleep in there, and then after that first feed in the night she would come into bed with me. We moved the cot into her own room at 13 months and kept the same routine mostly. She did still sometimes feed to sleep but I was back at work by then so wasn't always around at bed time. She also started sleeping longer stretches at that point so wasn't too bad in terms of getting up to feed in the night.

There was a wonderful phase where my daughter would have a cuddle, I'd put her in her cot and then she would roll herself into her tummy and go straight to sleep. Only lasted about a month though!! Thought I'd cracked bed time 🤣 DD is 3.5 now and still cuddles to sleep 90% of the time.
