God give me strength - 6 month old sleep

6 month old has never been the best if sleepers since birth. Only recently he's dropped down to one feed a night around 430am. Last feed around 630pm. He wakes up multiple times in the night. The majority of the night he can self sooth and we rarely have to go in to him. Last night he was waking every hour on the hour from 1030pm until we got him up today at 620. Im exhausted. We didn't have to go in to him once but his baby monitor is right at the side of my bed. He's happy as anything today and I don't know how with his lack of sleep. He normally has between 2.5 and 3.5 hours day time sleep but yesterday he only had 1.5 hours so ,maybe that could have impacted on his sleep. He's also woke up with a bright red cheek so maybe teething.

I don't really know the point of posting this because I imagine it's completely normal. I just wanted a whinge with other knackered parents 😴😴😴😴

Have you tried a white noise machine? At 6 months I did a triple whammy of removing dummy, putting in own room and introducing white noise. One of those things worked as DD went from waking 10 times a night to sleeping through.

If that's just another unhelpful suggestion of something you've already tried then just have my sympathy, it's torture BrewThanks

@TrashKitten10 we've had a radio playing static under his cot since birth but thank you for your suggestion. He's just moved in to his own room just last week and yes I've seen a massive improvement. I think I just have high expectations and need to have a serious word with myself. X
