Sleeping Bags

Hi

I have a 16 week old, thinking of starting to put her in a sleeping bag. I'm a FTM & this might sound silly but does she need to transition into it or can I just put her in it one day? Just been using blankets and swaddling etc previously but don't want her getting cold and when we put her in her cot in her own room In a couple of months I thought a sleeping bag would be better? Any advice welcome :)

She can just go straight into one. Just make sure you check she’s wearing the right layers for the tog and room temperature.

@SRK16 ah Thankyou I will try her in one and check the tog/room temperature :)

As long as she meets the minimum weight requirements is fine. Like pp said, just temperature check the room and adjust what she wears to bed accordingly

If you're swaddling to stop the startle reflex get the gro bags that you can button their arms into - you can then remove arms one at a time as they get used to it! Really helpful for us.

Bear in mind that some babies and children need a lot less clothing than the guidance. I would have a very hot and grumpy sweaty DS if I ever dressed him in as much as suggested
