we have just got into a sort of routine with DS3 of putting him to bed at 7.30ish, then he wakes for feed at 11 ish but the las few nights he has been waking after about an hour screaming in what seems like pain but stops after I pick him up and comfort him. It then takes about an hour to get him back to sleep again.

Any ideas? I'm pretty sure it's not wind, r hunger he is teething at the moment obviously but why would it just happen at that time and him not been in more discomfort through the day when he is a happy chap?

TIA - thought I would be geting into more of a sleep routine by now and am knackered!

Oooh, Tommy - I feel your pain!
My LO is very similar. Literally 9pm the dot he will wake up screaming. For up to two hours.
Its only happend a couple of times, and I can thoroughly recommend MEDISED before bedtime to pre-empt it. Or calpol. I reckon it must be teething, we still have no teeth at 8.5 months.
I did think it could be bad dreams, but apparently babies dont dream until they are about 2 or 2 and a half. But, who are we to say that?

Good luck! x

thanks lizzzombie - I gave him Calpol when he woke up lat night but don't really want to give it to him as a matter of course. Having said that - I think I might tonight just to see if I can break the cycle. He has about 6 teeth but I think he has some big ones coming through
