Sleep on holiday

Hi mums, we are going on holiday with our 16 month old soon, just a staycation. Just interested to hear where kids of this age would sleep on holiday? She is pretty big for our travel cot now so I don’t think she’ll sleep well in it but not ready for her own bed.
What do people about sleep when staying somewhere different?

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I used to put toddler in a bed near the wall and put a line of pillows on the outside and somw more on the floor just in case. Or a bed guard if you're staying somewhere that has the.

We normally put one of the single mattresses on the floor beside our bed for our 2 year old.

We’re currently driving back from our break with 17 month old DS and he did fine in a travel cot.

My very tall 18 month old manages fine in a travel cot.
With my older two I bought a kids air bed at about 2 which we took with us... it had small sides to stop them rolling out.

How big is your 16 month old? My 9lb 5oz both son still slept fine in his at 2 🤷‍♀️

I always share a bed with DS and DH goes in the spare room.

Or we all share a bed if it's big

FiNeWaY Kids Childrens Inflatable... https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B084X9VL58?ref=ppxpoppmobappshare

These are also great. Cot bed size with raised edges

Bed against the wall with a blanket rolled up like a sausage under the base sheet on the other side, or a bed guard.

My son is 2.5 and still fits fine in travel cots

Ah thanks all, The bed guards look a good idea. Last time we went away at Xmas, our LO slept so badly in a travel cot Confused
