9 year old boy wont sleep

hi everyone i'm new to this group . I have a 9 yr old boy that will not sleep in his own room I have tried everything I can think of to get him to sleep but nothing works x he is my 3rd child so ive done it twice before with my other kids but they sleeped in there room . a mum that needs to sleep on my own again plz help xxx

What does he say is the problem?

his says his scared of any noise . he will play in his room all day but come bedtime ive to be up stairs in my rooom if im down stairs alli get is mum where are u love u love u from 8.30 till i get in my bed .at 10 then his in my bed with in a hour xx

Have you tried letting him listen to a story read out loud. They have loads on audible.com. You can play them on most devices. That might just keep his mind occupied enough that he doesnt think about noises

I can understand the fact you want to get your own space.

Could you go for a halfway house and make him a nest in your room?. Tell him he can go there if he wants. Let him read in bed or the nest until he's tired. At least then he won't be in your bed.

I think it will pass soon, as hesnot that far off secondary.
