14mo nap timing ... advice ?

Hi everyone
I’m after a bit of advice from other mums. I am trying to get my 14month old daughter to drop down to 1 nap - she used to have a short one at 9.30 and long one at 1.30. I’d like her to transition to 1 longer one now she’s older.

I’m struggling with the timings with lunch. She’s exhausted by 12 but a little too early for lunch and then she’s sleeping until 2ish and it’s a bit late!

What time does your little one go down?

Make lunch earlier. There is absolutely no reason she can't have lunch at 11.30am, or even 11am, only convention.

For example
7am breakfast
11am lunch
3pm afternoon snack and milk
6pm dinner

Thank you for your reply @BabySleepTeacher.
Yes I suppose that makes sense. I guess I’ve always made a point of eating meals with her (we did baby led weaning) so I wouldn’t think to have my lunch at 11! But it’s a good idea thanks.

If i were you I'd let her lead on the naps, tbh. She'll drop to one when she's ready. Pushing it is unlikely to go well tbh.

I used to do lunch at 11:30 and nap at 12

We did BLW too and have had to embrace 11.30am lunches so we can all eat together. Then she nap around midday or so.

I always do 1130 lunch then nap at 12. Same age

Thanks everyone - it looks like 11.30 lunches are the way forward!

@Somethingorotherorother I have always done this but she’s going to nursery in a few weeks and the toddlers have 1 nap there !
