I have been cosleeping with both my dd. With the older one we’ve shared a bed til she was 2.5 yo, then she moved to her own bed (single adult size floor bed) and i would sleep with her there occasionally until the birth of her younger sister. Dd2 is still breastfeeding and so we currently cosleep with her, while dd1 sleeps in her own bed but usually comes to join us in my bed in the middle of the night, so the girls used to sleeping in the same bed and enjoy that. Now I am preparing to move dd2 to the other room and thinking of getting them a bed that they could share. The bed must be low, so that if dd2 rolls off the bed she wont hurt herself. I would also prefer a bed that folds easily, turning from double bed to single, as space in the room is very limited. Bunk beds are out of the question, because dd2 is very active, fearless and climbs on everything, so she would climb and dive down from a bunk bed for sure... does anyone have any ideas/advice they could share in regards to these sleeping arrangements? More specifically, could anyone recommend suitable bed or bedmakers?
So far the most suitable bed i have found was ikea’s Fyresdal bed, but it’s metal and not very pretty so I am not super keen.

Thanks 🙏

a trundle bed might be worth looking into? It would store under the single bed during the day, and be pulled out at night, so whilst they aren't in the same bed as such they would be right next to each other, just one would be higher up than the other.
