Awake too long - feed before nap

Hi.
My DS is 14 weeks old and has suddenly started going for around 2.5hrs between naps. Everything I have read suggests he should go max. 2hrs but he really does seem happy for this period of time, and if I try to put him down earlier he just protests.
So, assuming he can now go 2.5hrs Im not sure what to do with his feeds. He is also getting close to hungry by this time, which I think is impacting his naps. Giving him a quick feed before the nap seems to work, but isn’t a habit I want to start again. He’s breastfed and I don’t feel like I have a huge supply so just upping the quantity to have him last 4hrs between feeds doesn’t really feel like an option.
I’m not sure what my question is, but has anyone been in the same position? Does anyone have any advice?

How long is he napping?

Can you feed upon waking? Then just do a top-up before a nap rather than a full feed.
