12 week old sleep

Up until a few days ago my 12 week old was sleeping okay - good naps in the day, and doing a 5/6/7 hour stint at night, followed by a three hour one normally. We had problems with early rising (5am) but we were managing on the amount of sleep.

Suddenly, he is hard to settle during the day, and will either sleep for 20 mins or want to sleep 2 hours+ - there is no in-between. At night he is taking a long time to settle, and only managing a three hour stretch and then much shorter ones - and these sometimes have to be on one of us.

Is this a leap/growth spurt? Or do we need to get used to this?

Probably 4 month regression or teething or illness or bad dreams or a growth spurt or a leap. It usually settles down in about 3-4 years.

How often/long does baby nap for in the daytime?

Also, what's your usual feeding schedule (ish)?

Baby sleep doesn't only improve, it does get worse sometimes. But also better. It is likely the start of a regression but it will change many more times before it resembles your sleep. And at not even 3 months old, you haven't had long enough to have 'normally', you just got lucky to start with!
We managed the early days by DH taking DS for a few hours straight after dinner, apart from BF so I got a few hours then taking him from early morning til he left for work, in the bouncer, chatting while he ate breakfast then in the carrier to walk the dogs. He'd then be brought back in to me just in time for a nap together.
