Please help! My little boy was in a great routine from 7 months I did controlled crying and he eventually slept through 7-7. He's now 11 months & for the past month he will not go down by himself at bed time (he will for naps though, thankfully). Nowadays he either screams until we cave or goes to sleep but wakes an hour later screaming. We eventually end up putting him in with us as we're exhausted & just don't know what else to do. I can't listen to him cry all night. 😩 I don't know why he's suddenly out of routine as we haven't changed anything. Am I putting him to bed too early? Or maybe I need to drop his afternoon nap? Really stressed now need helppppp please !! X

Have you looked at the baby sleep site for some different routine suggestions? I found that helpful (although I didn’t agree with everything on the site).

Any big milestones happened/in the offing? My DD had some real sleep disruptions just before a year. When I watched her she was constantly fidgeting in her sleep. It resolved after she learned to walk - I think she was disturbed because she was “practising” in her sleep. I’ve heard of others having similar sleep problems around big milestones.

@crazychemist thanks that does explain a lot. He is defiantly showing signs of walking I don't think he will be long. Did your LO start sleeping better once walking xx
