My daughter is 3 1/2 months old and I want to get rid of the dummy. She wakes up so many times in the night because she wants her dummy back which results in both her and me not getting any proper sleep! She probably wakes every 45mins-2 hours.
Do I go cold turkey or wean her off gently? I've tried a few naps without it, some she is completely fine and others she gets so worked up and that's when I cave in because I hate seeing her so upset when it's my fault!
If I do go cold turkey.. how long does it take before she forgets about it ?

Hiya, I just read this and thought it sounds like your baby might be going through the four month regression? My baby is going through it I think, and I feel your pain with the dummy! I made a thread and got some really useful advice from babysleepteacheruk - think it’s the first post on the second page of the thread - www.mumsnet.com/Talk/sleep/3941338-Dummy-and-four-month-regression

She doesn’t give information about getting rid of the dummy but it just seemed relevant to your situation. Hope that’s helpful, and that you get a bit more sleep tonight!
