Hi there just reaching out to see if anyone else has experienced this....
My 17 month old has over the last month fought bedtime so much! Probably co-incided with a nap transition as he is now on the one lunch time which is generally 11.30/12 until 2ish.

Now I can deal with a bedtime fight as long as I am confident knowing that he will sleep through however we have been experiencing night wakings lasting upto 3hrs from midnight and I'm at my wits end and so down about it.

He has been teething since forever and suffering badly as only the second molars to come through now which I understand to be the worse teeth but I just cant workout why hes waking for that amount of time! It's ridiculous!!!

Has anyone else experienced this? I am so down about it all.

Molars are definitely the worse teeth to cut.

Having said that, you mention a battle to get baby down to sleep. By this age it would be reasonable to expect a fairly short/easy settling method that baby should be able to self-replicate. If you're having a battle to get him down to sleep, that could be the problem.

What do you do to get him from being fully awake until he's fast asleep?

Yes been there, had it at around 10 months and again around 16/17 months. We use to fuss over her but just started leaving her to it, we’d still be awake but laying in bed with your eyes shut is much better than being in and out. It will pass, you have my sympathy!
