OK, maybe I should have tried sooner.....?

8.5month dd been sleeping in travel cot in our bedroom since she outgrew moses basket.

Have been playing with dd in her new room & in her new cot to get used to it.

She had her afternoon nap no problem yesterday in her new cot.

last night she went down ok in new cot but then woke after 3hours & (will be addressing bf to sleep issue once settled in cot) breastfed to sleep but she wouldn't go down. Tried to feed to sleep in travel cot in our room again but I think she got confused where she was & woke up.

I know I shouldn't have brought her downstairs but she was wide awake, checked to see if she was hungry but didn't eat. Eventually took her back up & bf to sleep & kept her in our room.

....Do I try her again today in own cot for day naps?

...Do I try only day naps & then in a few days try night sleeps aswell?

....Do I leave her new cot for a few days and then try?

I can't have her up for 3hours again tonight!!!

I welcome all advice, please help!!!

I would possibly try her in teh travel cot, but in her room.

That way the cot will be a familiar environment whilst she gets used to the new room.

Then after a few days/weeks try her in her cot.

Agree -- I'd try either new cot in your room or travel cot in her room to begin with.

Or travel cot in cot in her room.

Thanks, I had thought of that as I think one of dd's issues is that she bangs her head on the wooden bars of her new cot.

Any more thoughts still welcome!

Ds did the same. We just used a bumper and winced a lot (for a few nights) until he got his bearings.
