Waking up jittery/confused/shaky

DS 3 has the occasional nights once a few months where he will sit up within an hour or so of going to sleep and just look really disoriented and confused.
I go in and he's just sat there rubbing his eyes blinking, and is all shaky like he's woke with a fright. You know when we wake and our hearts are racing and we're all jittery as we've had that dream where we're falling 😂 It's like that.
He goes right back off to sleep and then is fine as he gets into a deep sleep.
Has anyone experienced this kind of thing with their DC?
Be nice to hear any other similar experiences x

He will just be REM dreaming. Don't worry about it.

MY son has it. Is he jumpy/ twitchy when he falls asleep. Spent months scared about it but come to conclusion it’s night terrors. Still no idea what the twitching is.
