14 month old routine

Just wondering if some mums would be able to share their routines with me for 14 month olds? My LO is kicking a massive fuss at bedtime & taking ages to settle. Roughly mine is:
6.30-7.30: wake up
8.30ish: breakfast
11/11.30-1/1.30: nap
1.30ish: lunch
5.30ish: tea
6.30ish: bath
7.30-8: bedtime (but turning into more 9-9.30 by the time they fall asleep...)

Thank you 😊

We do almost identical with our 15mo, but do a snack at 11, lunch at 12.30 then nap 1.15 to 3.45 or so.

I think at 14 months staying awake from 1.30 until 7 or 8 is quite a long stretch. He could be overtired by the time you’re getting him ready for bed. Maybe try a slightly later nap? Obviously not too late because he wouldn’t be tired enough, but until 2.30 ish?

Or even 3/3.30, if bedtime isn’t until 8.

My DC is older, but similar to yours. Lunch at 11:45/12
Nap 12:30-2:30
Dinner 5:30
Bath straight after
Downtime until 6:45
Book/brushing teeth
Bed 7

Far (far) too long awake time window between nap and bedtime.

4-5h wants to be the longest awake time. I bet DC can't go much later than 11am for a nap either, because 4h is about at your maximum morning awake time window.

The answer is - your child needs 2 naps a day. 1 nap days want to start when DC is getting at least 2.5h sleep from one nap. The fuss at bedtime is all about being over tired.

I'd suggest:

6.30/7am wake
9.30am nap
10.15am - wake if not already awake
1.30pm nap
3.30pm wake if not already awake
7.30/8pm bedtime

Mine is a little older (17 months) but her routine is:

6.30-7.30: wake up
8.00ish: breakfast
10:00 Snack
11.30: Lunch
12:30 - 2: Nap
3:00 - Snack
5:30 - Tea
6.00: bath
6:30: bedtime

When she went to nursery that's the routine she had in the morning. She had two naps when she started going but she started to refuse the afternoon nap so we've moved it to one nap now, she started doing that from about 14-15 months.

It does seem a long time for your LO to be awake in the afternoon, could you swap around lunch and nap?

Thanks all. I did try doing lunch first about a month ago but I found she got really tired over it & didn’t each much. Or the food gave her a burst of energy that she was hard to settle for the nap. I will try again though now she’s a bit older.

Not keen on going back to 2 naps as she has been on the 1 nap since 10 months & it’s only been the last few weeks that bedtime has become a big problem x
