We have to move the cot right down, now that our almost 9 month old is standing in his cot. Worried it's going to unsettle him and be hard for us all, because we do a lot of bending over the side (rubbing his back, holding his hand, hair stroking, shhing gently close to his face etc) to soothe him as he's still not consistent in getting himself to sleep and I'm just not going to be able to do that when he's so far down in the cot (I'm 5"3' so can't reach and my OH is 6"3' so will break his back bending down that far!). We can't get our arm through the bars to comfortably reach him from the side either and the side doesn't lower. Any ideas what on earth we can do? (I am kinda hoping that moving him right down will suddenly be the magic move that means he doesn't need any of the above but that's just wishful thinking!)
