I think my 22 month old is ready to drop his nap - he hasn't had one today or yesterday, despite our very best efforts, and he's running around happily, and he's been harder to get down for the nap for a couple of weeks. Normally I'd feel slightly hard done to that he was dropping it earlier than all my friends' toddlers, but no big deal - but as it is I feel quite frantic and even a bit tearful because we're both working full time from home, his childcare settings have both said they won't be taking under-3s until some unspecified but later than 1 June time, and his naptime is the sticking plaster that is keeping our unsustainable work patterns going. I feel awful for asking this as I'd normally just go with his flow, but is there a way to keep the nap? I'm a bit reluctant to put him to bed later without someone saying it might work because late nights normally stop him sleeping through from past experience.
