Moving to cot

My baby is now 7 months old and looking to move them from the next to me in our room to the cot in their room. Baby is very much a wriggler and wakes up in completely different positions from when placed in the cot. I’m looking for advise for what you use to keep them safe in their cots now that bumpers are not advised.

I never used bumpers for mine and they are 13 and 16 now. I used baby sleeping bags but nothing else was in the cot

I just have a fitted sheet on the mattress and baby wears a sleeping bag. The sleeping bag stops him putting his legs through the bars. He moves all over the cot during the night!

We’ve been using sleeping bags for a few months now I think I’m more worried about them knocking their head whilst thrashing about.

We used sleeping bags, that’s it really. Do you really mean ‘thrashing about’ or simply moving and rolling? Mine would end up in all kinds of positions, but I don’t see how he would have severely knocked his head in the process.
