Baby half rolling in crib

My 11 week old has started half rolling over. He is still getting to his side and getting stuck. What happens if he gets to his front and gets stuck in the middle of the night?

The Lullaby Trust says you don’t need to roll the baby back over once they can roll themselves back again. Surely there is an in between time when they can get over but can’t get back again? Obviously I will roll him back over when I see it but what if he does it when I’m asleep?

Just roll him onto his back any time you notice. You can't help the fact that he might roll while you're asleep and it's dangerous to pin him onto his back. But being trapped on his front is a risk so correct it any time you notice.

One baby can freely roll back to front and also front to back (which takes a bit longer to learn), that's the point when you put baby to sleep on their back but leave them if they roll over.
