Sleeping bag to duvet transition

Hi, after a bit of advice. My 17 month old has always slept well in sleeping bags but she has recently started unzipping the bag just after I put her to bed to the point that yesterday it was just hanging round her neck and clearly not safe. So I’m thinking of introducing a duvet especially as it’s warmer and won’t matter if she isn’t under it all night. However at the moment she moves all over the cot, literally doing 360 degree turns.. how can I help her adjust? Thank you

I'd stick with the sleeping bag and just put it on backwards or get one with a trickier zip/fastening.

I wouldn't use a duvet in a cot tbh.

If you tuck the duvet under the mattress firmly it encourages them to stay put (mostly) and helps to stop them falling out of bed (once they're in a bed).

As she's still in a cot, I'd think about a different design of sleeping bag instead of a duvet, or just see the phase through and she'll stop taking the sleeping bags off.

It's probably warm enough now that you don't need sleeping bag or duvet. I'd just use sleep suit or pyjamas but wouldn't personally use a duvet in a cot. Mine barely sleep under a duvet now and they've been in beds since last summer (twins).
