My DD is 10months and I'm struggling every single day with putting her to sleep. She is currently being rocked to sleep and sometimes this can take over an hour my back is in so much pain. I don't know what to do ? This is my first child and I don't know what other ways I can put her to sleep without the rocking??

would you try the cry-it-out method? you can read more about it here www.whattoexpect.com/first-year/crying-it-out.aspx

I wouldn't ever jump straight to CIO - that's basically the extreme end of sleep-training (and I'm generally not crunchy about sleep, but full-on CIO is a bit much even for me).

However, there are lots more gentler things you can do. Sarah Ockwell-Smith's Gentle Sleep Book has some ideas, and friends of mine have had great success with Lucy Wolfe's stay and support method. She has an Instagram page with tips.
