Bunk beds or double bed?

My twin boys are 5 and they are in cot beds ( with both sides down. Now they’re older I’m thinking of getting bunk beds but the problem is they still wake up during the night and will only sleep all night if in together, which makes my decision about getting bunk beds even harder. Then I think maybe a double bed?

What’s your thoughts please?

Can you not have 2 singles? A double is fine but you would need to replace it relatively soon whereas if you buy 2 singles they can share while they want to and have their own space when they need it.

I wouldn't put a 5 year old in a top bunk but I am a bit of a worrier. I would go for two slimmer twin beds.

avroroad- I had never reek it thought of getting 2 singles another option to think of.

Babymamamama- they are soon to be 6😊

When I was a child we had bunk beds that came apart into two singles. That may be an option - singles to start with and the bunk beds once they need more room to play in their room.

They absolutely need the possibility of their own bed.
If they are both happy in a toddler bed together, I'm sure a single will be big enough to share for a while yet.
One other possibility would be a bunk bed where the bottom bed is a double - so double on the bottom, single on top.
