My 3 year old does have dry skin but at night he'll scratch furiously. My concern is that we constantly cream him at night and during the scratching but if makes no difference. He even scratches where the dry skin isn't to a point he has scars all over his body.
It's getting worst each day and the only thing that stops it is him hugging me. Right now he has his arms and head on my chest and is fast asleep. No scratching.
Him simply laying on me has stopped the scratching. Doesn't make sense to me.... Could the scratching be something other than eczema? Something neurological?
